Dear Ms. Kim,
I found our conversation at the NCSS Conference on Saturday afternoon quite informative. You were most generous with me and my good friend Jay Harmon with your time and your gifts of hospitality.
I have taken the time to look over your recommendations on correction booklet. I have noticed before the lack of content material in world history textbooks that deal with Korea. I did not know how much of the information in the textbooks is factually incorrect.
In the past few years I have worked with several textbook companies that publish world history materials. Specifically, I have worked with teacher material and student guides to The Earth and Its Peoples and Voyages, both by Cengage. I have also collaborated with Jay Harmon on materials for The Ways of the World by Bedford/St. Martin. He is more connected with them, so I will have him address the issues that you raised. I will be reaching out to Cengage since I believe that they are in the later stages of revision for their two very popular College/Advanced Placement High School textbook titles. I will use your research as a jumping off point with them.
