Graduated from the “Benemérita Escuela Nacional de Maestros” and the “Escuela Nacional de Estudios Profesionales Aragón de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México”. His professional practice leads him to serve as a teacher in a classroom setting, school director and member of different teams and projects in primary and middle school education of the Undersecretariat of Elementary Education. He was part of the technical team of the primary education for the operational test; affiliated with the “Consejo Nacional Técnico de la Educación” (National Technical Council of the Education) he took part in the construction of the emerging programs in 1992.

During his career, he has been in charge of various projects, including: the Department of Training and Professional Development in the General Directorate of Primary Education; the Sub-directorate for Curriculum Development and the Sub-directorate for Materials and Educational Projects for Basic Education; monitoring the implementation of curriculum; monitoring and evaluation of the educational practices of teachers in Normal Schools (teachers college) at the General Directorate of Legislation of the Undersecretariat of Basic and Normal Education.

He has taken part in the design of curriculum for the teachers' training of bachelor´s degree in preschool, primary and middle school education.

He took part in the team for the curricular and pedagogic renovation of preschool education from 2000 to 2002. He is coordinator of the publication “Learning from the students in middle school.

Testimonies of teenagers” as a result of the Forum “My daily life in and out of school”, conducted online by the monitoring team of the General Directorate of Curriculum Development.

From 2008 to 2010, he was in charge of the curriculum development for primary education in the General Directorate of Curriculum Development of the Undersecretariat of Basic Education.

He was part of the team that developed the 592 Secretarial Agreement that establishes the articulation of Basic Education. Was part of the team for the review of the curriculum 2011.

Currently, he is the “Director de Enlace y Vinculación” (Liaison Director) in the General Directorate of Curriculum Development of the Undersecretariat of Basic Education.
