   • Programs Remarks - The Asian Studies concentration emphasizes the interdisciplinary study of Asian cultures and societies. Courses in this concentration combine history, religion/philosophy, literature, art, political science, and language skills to give you the tools to understand and interpret Asia's past and present. Geographical areas of study include West Asia ("Middle East"), South Asia (Indian Subcontinent), Southeast Asia, Central Asia, East Asia (China, Korea, Japan), and the Pacific Islands.
