Since its establishment in 1962 as part of the Korea’s first 5-year Economic Plan, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has been dedicated to creating new export markets and increasing Korea’s trade value. KOTRA plays new role to support overseas investment, to invite foreign professional manpower, and to support making overseas jobs, keeping up with the times. In particular, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012, KOTRA operates as a Global Business Platform that helps Korean companies break out into a bigger market and better future, and takes the lead for ‘being best five trade powers and achieving trade of 2 trillion dollars in 2020’.
