Study Abroad

  1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : SOUTH KOREA—Summer Outbound Program
    • Program Remarks - Travel to South Korea with 4-H youth from across the U.S. and live with a Korean host family. During the 4-week program delegates will attend 4-H International Camp for 2-3 days where they will meet other foreign delegates and participate in cultural exchange activities.
  2. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : South Korea, Dankook University (Exchange)
    • Program Remarks - Students will be able to pursue a wide variety of coursework at Dankook University in addition to Korean language and culture courses.
  3. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : IE3 Global: South Korea, Seoul
  4. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : College of Engineering - South Korea, Daejeon
  5. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : Korea National University of Education
    • Program Remarks - When students successfully complete the program, including the course work, theses and required practicum hours, for each university, students will earn both a Master of Education degree from KNUE and a Master degree in Science Education or Mathematics Education from OSU.

Undergraduate

  1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : Asian Studies Minor
    • Program Remarks - The minor program will provide an opportunity for students majoring in fields such as business, engineering, or sciences who will be working in Asia or with Asians. They will gain a significant degree of cultural literacy that will be critical for their professional success. In addition, the program will be an outstanding supplement to a traditional liberal arts major for students with particular interests in Asia, who want to study abroad, or who plan to go on to do graduate work in areas with concentrations in aspects of Asia.
    1. Korea-related Courses : ANTH 319. *Peoples of the World—Japan and Korea (3)
      • Course Remarks - Survey of peoples around the world. Early settlement, cultural history, ecological adaptations, population, family and gender roles, religious ideology, political and economic systems, modern social changes, and contemporary issues pertaining to indigenous peoples in culturally distinct regions of the world. Emphasis is placed on dispelling stereotypic images, both past and present.
