Study Abroad

  1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : Ulsan, University of Ulsan (Summer)
    • Programs Remarks - The Ulsan International Summer Program is designed for foreign students who want to learn Korean culture, history, society, and business as well as Korean language. The program consists of a broad range of classes and excursions. Participants visit a wide variety of historical and cultural sites around Ulsan and other cities in Korea. On top of the excursions, the program includes field trips to industrial complexes as well.

Language Study

    • Programs Remarks - The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers courses in Korean language and culture, including two years of Korean language instruction as well as Korean film and popular culture courses. Korean language courses are offered year round including first-year Korean the summer session.

Undergraduate

  1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : B.A. in International Studies: East Asia focus
    • Programs Remarks - The International Studies Degree affords an excellent foundation for careers requiring an understanding of international economic, political, social and cultural affairs. In addition, the program provides a solid foundation for graduate work in professional fields such as journalism, international relations, public health, or community development. Areas of regional focus include Africa, East Asia, Europe, Latin American and the Middle East. Areas of thematic concentration include International Development Studies, Community Health, and Business.
  2. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : Certificate in Asian Studies
    • Programs Remarks - The Asian Studies Certificate, as part of the International Studies program at Portland State University, offers an Asia focused program that combines language and regional studies for students completing the requirements for a bachelor's degree in any field. The course of study is designed to broaden and deepen the student's understanding of Asian regions, which can include East Asia; South Asia; and/or Southeast Asia.
