해위윤보선대통령 기념사업회는 영국 에든버러 대학교와 함께 에든버러 대학교 동문인 고 윤보선 전 대통령을 기념하는 『제4회 윤보선 기념 심포지엄(YUN POSUN MEMORIAL SYMPOSIUM 2016)』을 영국 스코틀랜드 에든버러 Abden House에서 개최했다.
본 심포지엄은 해위윤보선대통령 기념사업회와 에든버러 대학교가 한국과 영국의 우호증진과 협력을 더욱 돈독히 다지기 위해 2013년부터 매년 개최하고 있다.
이번 심포지엄은 'Promoting Science and Humanities in Korea and UK' 를 주제로 진행되었으며 행사에는 O'shea 에든버러 대학교 총장, 김덕환 주영한국대사관 공사 등 10여 명이 참석했다.
본 심포지엄은 앞으로도 한국과 영국간의 우호증진을 위해서 에든버러 대학과 함께 매년 정기적으로 추진할 예정이며 에든버러 대학은 향후 대학 내에 한국학센터 설립도 추진하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.
