    • Programs Remarks - Students who major or minor in Asian Studies undergo comprehensive and critical study of the cultural and linguistic development of the Asian world, both as a whole and as individual societies. The bachelor’s degree consists of 36 credits that combine language instruction with courses about the history, literature, philosophy, religion, society, and politics of Asian cultures. The minor in Asian Studies consists of 18 credits, including ASC 1300, ASC 2610, six credits of Asian languages courses (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean), and six additional credits chosen under faculty advisement. Students may combine the B.A. in Asian Studies with a graduate degree in East Asian Studies, Business Administration, or Accounting to earn both graduate and undergraduate degrees in only five years of study.

    • Programs Remarks - The Master of Arts program in East Asian studies offers a comprehensive and critical study of the historical, social, economic, political, and cultural developments of the Asian world, both as a whole and as individual societies. It also provides students with experience in the critical use of sources and presentation of research.
