1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : B.A. in Asian Cultures and Languages
   • Programs Remarks - Intended for students desiring to focus on one country or language, the undergraduate major in ACL is designed to provide competence in one Asian language, a deep and broad knowledge of the cultural and geographic area represented by that language,and familiarity with other regions of Asia. The Department offers specializations in Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Malayalam, Sanskrit, Tamil, and Urdu.
2. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : B.A. in Asian Studies
   • Programs Remarks - The B.A. degree in Asian Studies provides a solid broad background in classical and contemporary Asia for students with a variety of career goals. Two years of one of the following languages are required: Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Malayalam, Sanskrit, Tamil, or Urdu.
3. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : Korea Program
   • Programs Remarks - The Korea program is part of the Department of Asian Studies. The Department was established in 1994 to provide a focus within The University of Texas at Austin for the creation and dissemination of knowledge about Asia. Our goal is to use the academic resources of The University of Texas at Austin to promote international cultural, economic, and political understanding. Today the Korea program is developing rapidly, in keeping with expanding interest in this field.

Graduate

1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : M.A. in Asian Studies
   • Programs Remarks - The M.A. in Asian Studies is designed for students who will pursue non-academic careers in business, communications, government, law, high-school teaching, and the like and wish to deepen their knowlege of the region without necessarily pursuing a career related to Asia.
2. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : M.A. in Asian Studies and Public Affairs
   • Programs Remarks - The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and the Department of Asian Studies of The University of Texas at Austin offer a dual degree program leading to the Master of Public Affairs and the Master of Arts in Asian Studies. The program combines advanced policy studies with interdisciplinary area studies, responding to an increased need in both public and private sectors for policy specialists with a thorough understanding of Asian politics and cultures.
3. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : MBA/Master of Arts in Asian Studies
   • Programs Remarks - The MBA/Master of Arts in Asian Studies program combines advanced business studies with interdisciplinary area studies and language, responding to an increased need in both public and private sectors for business specialists with a thorough understanding of Asian politics and cultures.
