- Summary: Taean is an area of soft sandy beaches spreading out as far as the eye can see. Rocks carved out by waves for hundreds of millions of years add to this breathtaking landscape. This video is about the heroic efforts of thousands upon thousands of volunteers who rushed to Taean to help clean up the vast amount of crude oil that spilled into the ocean in December 2007, when an oil tanker collided with a floating crane. Their efforts helped restore the ocean and protect fishing in the area.
