   • Programs Remarks - The Minor in Asian Studies is open to all undergraduate students at Villanova University. The requirement for the Minor is a minimum of 5 Asia-related courses to be chosen in consultation with and approved by the Director of the Asian Studies Program.
   1. Korea-related Courses : HIS 4320 - Modern East Asia
      • Courses Remarks - The political, economic and social history of Modern East Asia (China, Japan and Korea) with an emphasis on the impact of the West, the Japanese Empire and the development of modern institutions.
   2. Korea-related Courses : PSC 4500 - Contemp East Asian Politics
      • Courses Remarks - The politics, history, economic development and security of the Asia/Pacific region; focus on Japan and China.
   3. Korea-related Courses : PSC 5850 - East Asia's Political Economy
      • Courses Remarks - Themes include interactions between markets and capitalist systems, political regimes, financial sector liberalization, trade, entrepreneurship, and regionalism. Special focus on the conditions leading to the region's recent financial crises.
